THE LAKERS PLAYOFF GAME IS ON ESPN2 RIGHT NOW. I lost track of the time and missed the kickoff.

UPDATE: GVSU just scored again to extend their lead to 35-14. The winner tonight plays Northwest Missouri State next Saturday.

UPDATE 2: Final Score: GVSU 49, Delta State 30. The Lakers are headed to the championship game next week for a rematch of last year's title game against NW Missouri State.

The game against Delta State wasn't even as close as the score would indicate. With the exception of blocking against all-out rushes against the punter, GVSU was in control of all phases for virtually the entire game.

One point: The crowd and the GVSU bench was upset with the Delta State decision to call time outs as the clock was running down at the end of the game. That's a bit out of line. To expect someone to quit playing before the game ends is ridiculous.
