FORMER MICHIGAN STATE STAR T.J. DUCKETT HAS SIGNED WITH THE DETROIT LIONS. Duckett, a Kalamazoo native, played four years with the Atlanta Falcons before spending last season as a back-up with the Washington Redskins. Duckett should provide good good short-yardage performance and provide insurance for Kevin Jones (returning from injury) and newly-acquired Tatum Bell. Suddenly the Detroit backfield is looking not only solid, but actually quite good.
