IT LOOKS LIKE the pilot of a small plane that crashed outside of the Chippewa Correctional Facility in Kincheloe intentionally avoided a housing area. All four people onboard were killed in the accident, but no one on the ground was injured.

Buckethead on MI

BUCKETHEAD at the Ministry of Minor Perfidy has a rundown of potential state slogans for Michigan. They’re generally unflattering.

UPDATE: I should point out that this is just the latest entry in a long series of posts by Buckethead in which he roundly slanders every state in the Union, not a one-off slam on Michigan. For instance, he called Indiana the “The New Jersey of the Midwest“. It’s difficult to work out if that’s actually a slam at Indiana or at New Jersey.

Plot to destroy the Mackinac Bridge?

THE GRAND RAPIDS PRESS front page highlights the arrest of three men that prosocuters say were plotting to destroy the Mackinac Bridge. The evidence released so far is not terribly convincing, but we’ll see.
